Welcome to the Peer Perception survey for NIRF !

Preamble FAQ

We appreciate your willingness to serve as a Peer for the India Rankings 2025. Your participation will be extremely helpful in view of your considerable experience and knowledge of the educational institutions of the country. Your responses will be combined with those of other Peers to rank the institutions in terms of Peer Perception. We seek your views on the following:

  1. The best institutions in an overall sense considering their research, quality of their academic programs and of their graduates both at the National and Regional level.
  2. The best discipline specific institutions at the national level in two disciplines of your choice.
  3. The best discipline specific-institutions within a discipline and region of your choice.
  4. The best teaching colleges for broad undergraduate education both at the National and Regional level.
  5. The best institutions in Research considering their contribution in research at the National and Regional level.





  1. Why are you collecting this Data?

    The responses will help us in assessing the Peer Perception component of our Ranking Criteria.

  2. How have you selected the peers?

    The peer selection has been done on the basis of comprehensive inputs from a variety of academic and industry sources. You are being requested because the NIRF feels that your background makes you eminent suitable to provide an unbiased and accurate view of top education institutions.

  3. How long does it take to complete the Survey?

    No more than 10-15 minutes.

  4. Are my responses confidential?

    All personal information will be treated as confidential, and responses will be published only in an aggregated form. Data will be also used for NIRF research in education. NIRF will not share your details with third parties without your consent.
